Greetings my dear Gothlings!
My name is Sir William Welles and welcome to my new Blog! To be honest, I used to blog way more often a few years ago...before the "Island Rage Times." My blog writing crawled to a halt, especially on my Romancing The Goth blog, and I have since regretted letting it go. Recently, however, I've decided to take up blogging gain s an added means of expressing myself as a form of cathartic therapy, and as a way to further connect with my friends, followers, and fans alike! It's good to be back!!!
When I was pondering whether or not I should restart blogging, I posed the question on my Facebook feed for a little feedback. While the responses were overwhelmingly positive and encouraging, a singular question kept reoccurring, "What are you going to write about?" This very sensical question left me scratching my head. What exactly do I want to write/blog about? Fashion? Maybe...especially with my XenoGoth project. Entertainment reviews? Possibly! Food & cuisine? Hmmmm...I might have to leave that to The Cranky Restauranteur. Sports? No way! Travels? I need to get out more!
After giving it some thought, I decided to write about the one subject I know best: ME! Well...more specifically, me and living within my Goth lifestyle here in New York City. As I am currently expanding my New Goth City website to cover all of the different Goth scenes all across this vast nation of America and also writing a book about what it is to be Goth, I want to also share with you my experiences and introduce you to all of the wonderful like-minded people from all over the world that either use my website or list their events and venues on it. It's a network that unites us by the one specific bond that is the Goth lifestyle and culture.
I would also like this blog to serve as a teaching tool to those who are non-Goth (Day-Crawlers) that are either curious, bewildered, fearful, or even hostile to the dark lifestyle have long embraced and loved. So if you know of any skeptical mainstream mundanes who just "don't get' what being Goth is all about...just send them this way!
I hope that you will enjoy reading future and varied posts on this blog while also getting a candid view into my life. Be sure to subscribe to this blog as to get notified of my new posts as I publish them. If you have any questions or subjects that you wish me to explore and discuss, just leave them in the comments below.
With all that said, I can't wait to get started on the next blog post! Thanks for being part of it!!!
See you in the Dark!
Sir William Welles
